That's not quite correct, Ganged as well as Unganged settings are both DualChannel modes. Ganged is pretty much like the DualChannel mode of the Athlon64 processor (two channels act together as one with a 128 bits wide data path), whereas the special feature of the Phenom architecture is the Unganged mode. In this mode the memory controller handels two 64 Bit wide channels independently. Which way is faster depends on what you're doing...

Single channel would then be none of the two, just one channel with 64 bit width.
So much for the correction

@diegolaz I think Mugen1 fits in because the heat pipes just lead up- and downwards, not to the left and right. Since Mugen 2 is constructed that way too, it might just fit in as well. As far as the Reapers are concerned, they really seem to be an obstacle.

Thanks, I'll research a little more about the Mugen 2 and maybe buy it with a low noise enermax... If I end up buying it and it does not fit, I'll sell my OCZ's... they are 800MHZ anyway....

hello again.
For a 8GB setup... with a 940BE in this nice board, would you recommend 1066MHZ CAS 5 over 800MHZ CAS 4?

I personally would go with the 1066mhz since it will give you oc headroom but if you are limited on budget, go with 800mhz.

It might well be that problems occur with 8 gigs of 1066 RAM. But that's not necessarily related to this board but moch more to the Phenom (2) processor itself. I think AMD officially supports only 2 DIMMs of this type but for some people 4 DIMMs seem to work as well. I personally get errors when I set the mem frequency at 533 (1066) MHz. So now my RAM operates at 800 MHz at 4-4-4-11-22 timings at only 1,8V. And I'm pretty happy with that.

Can someone help me oc my 720be a bit further with this board?

Currently I have it at 3.7 with 200x18.5 @1.5v. NB and HT mult are set at 10x.
I tried going with 19x mult with 1.55v but no luck.

mmm on the manual says 1066 it's only supported for AM2+ procesosr....but didn't see anything about 8gigs.... I guess if they don't work I can use them at a lower voltage at 800?

Nope. The new X2 is socket AM3 not AM2+/AM3
