I just updated to BIOS P08, but I still need help,

Where do you disable Cool & Quiet at?

How do you change the CPU Multi?

The multi is under "Fox Intelligent Stepping" and then go to "AM2+ CPU Ratio Adjust" and it's "CPU FID Control". Change if from auto to what you want but it's in Hexidecimal form so it's VERY VERY confusing.

The Cool and Quiet is called "PowerNow" and it's in the CPU Configuration section. HOpe this helps. I will update what the Multi #'s are when I reboot sometime!!

After lots of I found this out, +rep though for tryin to help.

I've also found out kinda what the Multi's equal.

If I set the option to 12, I get a multi of 13.5 (aka Stock for me)

This is a damn confusing BIOS, many options which are nice. But hard/er to use. And quite different from my P35A, X38A, & 780G from them.

Not a problem and thanks! It took me a while to figure out the multi too, but I did! This is really the only issue that most have with this board is that the BIOS sucks. It may have lots of options but good luck understanding what most of them do!

They must have 2 different teams for Quantum Force & Digital Life.

Either way, once you get to know what stuff does, (though I'll never understand why they call CPU Multi CPU FID), they are great boards to have.

My A79A-S doesn't have Vdroop/Vdrop, which is awesome. The Voltage is higher than what I set, but only by .04, so it's nothing huge.

Small Update, was able to get back up to 3.4ghz w/ 1.45 Vcore.

http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=595469

It's on my bench right now, so only 1 stick of the Mushkin HP2 & my HD2600pro.

I'm throwing it in my sig rig later, and then I'll play with it more.

Keep us updated! I just never have the time to sit down and really figure all this stuff out and OC more. I know I can get 4Ghz out of this CPU because I have done it for a PI run. This board has so many features just have to get it all figured out.

Will do, I'm going to try for my old high of 1.5vcore 3.5ghz. See if that'll be stable. Then I'm going to mess with ACC and see if I can pull anything out of it.

I also did try to "unlock" cores on this board like other have done with PhII chips, but no luck on that.

Surprising to say the least because some of the 7750BE's that were shown online did unlock, and were part of the same batch.

Oh well, that's not horrible, I'd probably have to DOWNCLOCK

Either way, I"m already running @ speed for a Kuma chip.

And I already have some tight tweaks coming along with this board.

But trust me when I say you'll about this board when it first shows up and you touch the BIOS. Also, P08 is such an improvement over P07, so that helped my ragging.

I actually had a BSOD last night, it was about my Realtek onboard NIC/LAN driver (I didn't install one and accidentally let Windows do that ) Horribly mistake on my part. But I updated to the new driver after doing a driver clean and I did a 24 hour run of S&M. So I'm stable right now. I need to add more RAM tweak the timings, and maybe do some HT overclocking.

Either way, it's time to eat, this fat kid hasn't in 18 hours or so...

I just decided to load the P08 Bios and the first thing I noticed is that they made changing the Multi actually easy!! I was blown away. I also didn't have to shut down power for it to actually save and implement the changes. Now if I can just figure out what some of the other crap in the BIOS does I would be golden!!
