i just built mine on the 27th. i ran into a few problems but managed to figure out some of the kinks.
it seems that this board is still being worked on. as the bios has a few bugs. i already notified foxconn and am speaking to them via the standard ticket system.

well at least if we get more users in here we help each other out on figuring out the kinks on this great board.

did you get this from newegg too with that deal?

Heh. I admit I didn't think to find a review for the thing untill after I ordered it. My purchase criteria were SB750 +790FX, and the Foxconn had the deal. As soon as I get my box, I'll cut it up and send in that rebate.

Of course, I'm sticking a 9850 BE on it and I don't plan on upgrading for a while, but I hope AM2+ and the SB750 will make this a reasonably future-proofed board. It bothers me to buy an intermediate socket technology. I would have waited for AM3 if I had the option.

i agree. but i for one will only upgrade to am3 once i see reviews compared to the i7 and when prices drop. for now an overclocked 9850 be is doin the work just fine.

I am contemplating if I should get this mobo or the A7DA mobo... from reading up on customer reviews the A7DA mobo has some known issues with OCZ RAM, Im not sure if that would carry over to the A79A mobo. I read quite a few reviews from various sites but this was the only quote I could find in the time I had.

"You would think that if you check the manufacturers web site for hardware compatibility and that when OCZ memory is listed that it would work. Well not in this case. The error "spd missing byte 23 or 25" occurs during POST because the chipset is looking for 3 timing tables which the memory does not have."
