Hi all
__________________I was fooling around with my RAM timings in the BIOS earlier today, and after I rebooted, the system wouldn't post. So, I reset the CMOS, rebooted again, and again, the system won't post. I did the following: 0) Reset the CMOS again 1) Switched out CPU's 2) Switched out Video cards 3) Switched out RAM 4) Checked all connections The system STILL won't boot. I don't even get any status beeps after rebooting. The Hard drive and DVD ROM drives spin up, but then, nothing. Is there any other reason anyone can think of why the BIOS won't even boot with status beeps after booting? Like I said, I tried switching out the components above, and after each one, tried to boot. Have I managed to fry my motherboard? Any help as soon as possible would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance Brian

The overclock settings are controlled through the bios.
__________________There IS one jumper to switch between FSB 266/333/400 and FSB 200, but that's set at the default, and I hadn't touched it. Oh, one more thing, I switched out the jumper cap on the reset CMOS jumper, and tried switching out CMOS batteries. Again, nothing. By the way, General, thanks for your quick reply. Brian

Wait. I think I may have reset the CMOS the first time with the power still plugged in, but the power supply turned off.
__________________Each time I reset the CMOS, I pulled out the battery, then switched the jumper cap to the "reset" mode (if pins 1 and 2 are covered, it's in "enabled" mode, and if pins 2 and 3 are covered, it's in "reset" mode), then put the jumper cap back on the "enabled" pins, then put the battery back in. By resetting the CMOS with the power supply still plugged in (even though it was "off"), did I maybe fry the CMOS chip?

Set your FSB jumper to 200, which is safe mode. If it posts, Then you can go back into your bios and reset everything. Then reboot, still at 200, let it load your OS, and then shut down, unplug, discharge your PSU by pushing the power button with it unplugged, and then reset the jumper to default, and reboot.
