Default Anyone running a quad on M2N32 SLI mobo?

Just what the title says.
I want to upgrade my CPU, and saw that my mobo supports up to a Phenom 9850 on the Asus BIOS update website.
I was just wondering if anyone has a quad running on this board, and what your experience has been with it.
Thanks

it wasnt a bad combo. the main thing that got you was if you did not have a be edition cpu, your oc was limited by the north bridge frequency.
i had the 8450(2.1ghz) and oced it to 2.4-2.5.

anything pictular you want to know?

I am getting a 9850be within 2 weeks. I should be able to get at least 3.1 stable plus the extra two cores for folding. After that is my 1st 9800gtx+ stepup, then another one the month after that.

If you go through the posts in the m2n thread you will find quite a few that have Phenom x4's. Or the Black Edition 9850 Owners Club. I am still going through it myself and copying any info that I like.

I am just a little jittery about putting an AM2+ CPU in an AM2 socket mobo, even though it would seem perfectly fine to do so.
I just want to know if there might be any issues in trying to do this. That means ANY problems that might be encountered.
Honestly, I am just looking for some horror stories.

The only thing I could think of is the wattage of the cpu. Just make sure you get a cpu with 125 or less watts. If you go with a cpu any higher wattage wise you might not be able to post or worse yet if you do post you may fry your mobo. I don't think the capacitors and mobo traces can handle the amount of power consumption the 140w CPU's require. Hope this helps

Well, this is good, because I would really like to get a 95W CPU anyways, and my current CPU is already a 125W and a beast to keep cool.
I also see issues with the HT, but that doesn't concern me either, since I don't OC anything but my GPUs ATM.

Weel, my 6400+ is an unconventional CPU, since it has been factory OCed. That is why it runs hot, and also why so many people have trouble getting it past 3.4GHz.
It is also 90nm, and the quads are all 65nm or 45nm. That has a lot to do with it as well.
Best case scenario for me is if Asus releases a BIOS update so that my board can support a Phenom II, even if it is bottlenecking the CPU. That way I can get the CPU I want now, and wait until I need a new mobo. That is why AMD is WIN!
