exactly how in the hell to you change the multiplier and have the setting actually stick?
__________________i bought this board for the decent price while my ASUS board is being RMA'd... but i'm almost thinking i would've been better off not being able to use the computer until i get my ASUS board back. these BIOS options just plain aren't working. the HTT link speed only increases if i increase the Reference Clock - changing the HTT link multi does jack. i'm totally lost here. any help?

In the bios under FOX Intelligent Stepping it's the am2+ cpu ratio adjustment go into CPU FID control an that's your muli. E is 15 i think an F is 15.5 an so forth. Took me a while to get it.

thx NCspec... i'll try it out when i get back from work.
__________________yeah, i'm on the latest bios, but it's just weird. i can change it right now, from a 18 to a 30 and it will still stay at 3.60GHz (or whatever it feels like setting itself to). there's like no rhyme or reason to it. also, when i open up programs in windows, every program tells me something different... Everest, CPU-Z, FOX One... all tell me that my cpu and mobo are running at different speeds. i'll post up a screen shot of it later. has no one else experienced this? oh, and AMD overdrive does work, but it always changes my settings after i click apply (i.e. i set the PCI-E clock to 100 and it changes to 250 or 90 or, again, whatever it feels like)

There was a wierd thing when I had this mobo. Anything over a 16x multi wouldn't pick it up or save it. Maybe thats what you are experiencing?

well i just turned on the computer after shutting it off last night running at 200MHz Ref. Clock and a CPUFID of 17, and it's booted up at 3.9GHz... last night, before i shut it off, it would only report 3.6GHz.
__________________![]() and it's reporting a 19.5x multi in windows... so i dunno. and if that list that NCSpec posted the link to is to be held true, i would only be at an 11.5x multi with a CPUFID of 17 ?!?!?
