Default I NEED HELP :( BIOS problem

Hello Guys.

you guys can see my system under my sig.

I am trying to OC my CPU, however my bios doesnot let me change the reference clock speed.
I have both tried using bios version 1.30 and 1.20, (AMI)

but they both don't let me change it.

http://download.asrock.com/manual/A780FullHD.pdf

if you see the manual here and page 45
there is a picture

As from the manual

i would put it on 5x so it is 1000mhz

and on top at OVERCLOCK MODE, i would either put it, [CPU, PCIE, Sync.], [CPU, PCIE, Async.]mode.

Then I try to change the cpu frequency to something else and press enter but i can't change anything

so as PCIE frequency.

However I could change everything else,
such as ram timing, or voltage etcs :S

i turned off cool n quite btw..

I dont know what the problem is

should i degrade the bios to 1.00 version and try it?

is there any way i could change the bios (so i could change the frequency) in windows and flash it?

I am not familiar with the BIOS structure for AMD boards but from what I do know, newer BIOS versions "shouldnt" really prevent changes being made in the BIOS. The overall OC might not run as smoothly on some BIOS revisions as others, but you should at least be able to modify the settings. As I said tho, not really familiar with AMD boards/BIOS options. You could always give it a shot tho.
