Never used either. These guys dont have integrated video. Bur the Asus has firewire, 4 way Pci-E and a few other things the DFI doesn't have.

Both good boards get whichever brand you like better. I prefer Asus. Go DFI since you won't need that many PCIE x16 slots anyway and it is cheaper. The only thing that makes the ASUS worth the price is if you want to buy an AM3 cpu right away that would be the board for you, but no DDR3 support.

It means you can run 4 video cards in it if you wanted. Or whatever components you want to have in your rig.
I vote Asus. You may want to check out the M3A79-T also, and save a little cash.

There's no suggestions on what other cards I may want to end up having installed? I'm really not sure what all cards there are besides vid, sound & my sons has a wireless networking card, mostly because I have not figured out the on board wireless (maybe I need something else to get it to work (talking about the MB listed in Sig))

Really? Nobody has any thoughts or suggestions for what other cards are able to be installed? I don't know what all is out there & what all it does.

well the only cards I ever run in my systems are Video of course and maybe a sound card. i have The M3 MVP deluxe asus with 4 pcie slots and the only slot occupies right now is my pci x16 with one gpu HD4850. I like the board though and it is AM3 ready. Also I can quad crossfire single GPUS which is nice.
