Currently the Prime95 is running 2 hours!
I just test the CPU! Maybe the RAM has sth? But why is there a kernel message!

I will make a test tomorrow in XP, but i just play under Win7

Humpf29, good to hear things are stable so far. I typically run stress tests for about 8 hours but that is just me. If you suspect your memory is at fault then go ahead and run a Memtest86+ diagnostic. I prefer tests 5 and 8.

Just for kicks test the game under Windows XP and see if it locks up. Perhaps the issues is Windows 7 related.

Good luck

i am new to overclocking/unclocking, and it just so happens i got the same motherboard and cpu.
my cpu says callistal not deneb and i only have 1bg (2x512) 667 of ram
i assume i have to get 2gb 800 ram and a cpu cooler to do this, right? (using stock cpu cooler)
also when i fiddle with easy tuner i have to increase it slowly ya?

Nibor, the purchase of DDR2-800 memory isn't a bad idea but you can still overclock your processor while using your existing set. The 550BE has a unlocked multiplier so it makes overclocking pretty simple. Just increase the multiplier and adjust the Vcore accordingly. Make sure to keep an eye on your temperatures during stress testing. I'd advice making all of your changes in the bios. Here is a link to a helpful guide that should shed some light on this topic. Check it out when you can: http://www.overclock.net/amd-general...ing-guide.html. I highly recommend reading it over!

If you can, please add your system specifications to your signature rig. This will let us know what you're running. You can do this by going here: http://www.overclock.net/specs.php?do=addsystem

Let us know if you have more questions

Good luck

Nibor, that sounds great. You may want to actually perform a longer stability test then 30 minutes just to be safe. I've had quite a few stability tests fail on me between the 3 and 4 hour range.

Don't forget to add your computer specifications to your signature

Good luck

It really is just pot luck if the 4 cores unlock successfully i have already built a rig with this mobo and cpu combo, I managed to overclock it at 3.7ghz. I lowered the nb vid multi and ht multi to 9x, set the system bus to 223mhz, cpu multi to 16.5 and vcore to 1.40v. system took any stability test i could throw at it.

So i decided to build my brother the same rig but i can only get his stable on 3 cores the 4th core just does not want to play the game but as someone pointed out earlier 3 cores is still more than 2.
