Hey guys,
__________________Ok here is my situation. I got the Crosshair II about 2 days ago. Installed, all good. Now, for some reason, whenever the cpu gets load, the pc hangs. Hangs....meaning that it's a dead freeze, no BSOD, no nothing. I did manually set most of the CPU settings in the BIOS. What can this be? Voltage? I'm lost....

Sounds more like under-voltage tbh set everything to default then see if it boots handles load then adjust it properly.

Under volt on the CPU? I've raised and lowered it and the same happened. Everything is on stock settings, OCCT gives me "errors on core# " on random cores. I don't know what the heck to do from here...

if everything is at stock, including all voltages and clock speeds then it sounds like a faulty CPU. does this happen in other stress tests?

I'm lost and frustrated. Nothing seems to be working. OCCT fails in about 10sec no matter *** I do. How do I stress only RAM in OCCT 3.1?

Run memtest to see if the ram is faulty

OK, I think I'm onto something here. Ran Prime95 and not even a minute into it I get these errors:
__________________FATAL ERROR: Resulting sum was -1.11235430285195e+021, expected: 2.516493529024673e+017 Hardware failure detected, consult stress.txt file. FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 0.5, expected less than 0.4 Hardware failure detected, consult stress.txt file. It seems I cannot run the memory on 1066MHz. Put it on 800 now and Prime is running sweet, no errors! W.T.F is with this mobo? The RAM is on the QVL so I don't know why it's giving me problems. Any ideas?

Lower your memory timings.
