You can ask biostar how much they would charge to fix it. I think they will do it for free possibly if it is under warranty still or for small charge. All they have to do is remove the bios chip and replace it.

you can update your bios through a utility (option a program provided with newer mobos) or you can download your new bios version onto a flash drive and boot from the usb and flash your bios.

i prefer the utility provided as they're extremely easy to use.

You can, and I do, but your more likely to crash in Windows than in DOS.

dude call them up and see if you can request a new pre-flashed BIOS chip. Im sure they will be able to do that.

you might need to pay a bit

Remeber BIOS flashes should only be done through DOS or the built in BIOS updater

i really feel you. i just had that feeling when your computer cuts out on you in the middle of a flash.
it really sux. i was up till 3 in the morning trying everything i could trying to get it work but no dice.
what my advise would be (if you have the money to get a new mobo right now) is to RMA that board and buy a new one right now, then when you get the board back, you can sell it pretty much brand new.
or you can wait the long, grueling process that is known as RMA..
but you know, your choice
