Or are there more steps involved.

That is a boot-by-boot solution I think. Every time the mod community finds a way around the signing requirement, Microsoft closes it with a Windows update.

I found a modded version of PhenomMsrTweaker, am about to try that.

Even better: I found K10Stat. It seems to have all the features that Crystal-n-Quiet had without as nice of GUI. I am testing that now.

Default Readme: TRANSLATED!

The problem with K10Stat is that the readme is in Japanese. Well, Google solved that. Its Engrish, but it is better than nothing.

I am sharing with others so they need not do it themselves.

So now that your using K10Stat what version are you using? I see 3 different links and I dont' know which one would be best for me while using XP x64.

Here is the list of choices.

Software
K10stat 0.32

K10stat 0.81

K10stat 0.91

Sorry for the late response, I have been out of town. I use 0.91. What is cool is that now with this, I can adjust the NB Voltage, a setting which is missing from my motherboard. (My Motherboard only has NB-CPU, not NB-CPU and NB.)

NP. I think I may try this on my M2N32 SLI Deluxe w/win 7 just to see if I can get it configured properly and get my cpu to run cooler.

I just wish the GUI were a bit more user friendly. Yes, it does seem to have more configuration options than my beloved CrystalCPUID. However, the GUI is a bit chunky. Here's one for you, why do we have 4 squares in the tray icon when they all change the same color at the same time? It likely should be one box per core, but even if you set the cores at different speeds, all boxes are the color of the fastest core.

Oh, and a real English readme would be nice... the translation only goes so far.
