If so then how can the NB OC'd without the HT link being OC'd.

Also, I currently have the system clock at 250MHz with the NB and HT speeds at 2500MHz. I am running 1.4v on the NB and SB and 1.3v on the CPU/NB VID. Are the voltages too high on the NB and SB or 1.4v still considered safe?
Actually it's other way around - HT can't be higher than NB. So try to keep HT at stock 2000mhz or lower. 1.4V is absolutely safe, just keep your eye on the temperature.

I think you have it backwards, the HT link cannot be higher than the CPUNB.

you probably wont hit 2800 nb without crazy amounts of cpu nb voltage (1.5+). keep ht link at 2000 bump nb up to 2600, and give it about 1.35v

Higher Hypertransport Frequencies yeild little to no gain in performance. Keep it 1800 to 2100Mhz. Best performance sweet spot on Northbridge frequencies for overclocking are around 2600Mhz.

Thanks for all the replies everybody. I had to clear CMOS last night due to an over zealous OC of 3000MHz on the NB frequency the night before. First I tried a core unlock on bios F4g but that didn't happen so I went back to F5 and started from scratch. After some tinkering I was able to get the NB frequency to about 2617MHz with 1.3v on the NB and 1.35v on the CPU-NB VID. HT link is at 2000MHz and system bus remains at 200MHz. It has been over 9 hours stable in prime95 blend test so hopefully it will still be running when I get home from work.

Thanks again for all the help!
