just had a wack memory controller. Had to give it a serious cpu vid bump just to get it small fft stable at stock clocks and run my 1600 ram at 1333 with looser timmings with slow nb and ht. Never got it prime blend stable and couldn't do any ram intensive task which kinda defeated the point of having such a high end quad. and yes i returned the c2 for a c3

3000 post. need to get out more

Also, stop arguing about 4830xfire/4890. it's all application-dependent. 3DMark will like the multiple cards, but other apps may not. Plus, they're out of date now, so it's pointless arguing - there should be no reason to debate this when 5xx0 is out.

yeah already returned it hurt to do it but i couldn't refuse a free upgrade to a c3. and i wouldn't of been able to get one otherwise since its illegal to sell them before release

wouldn't of been good for benching with that memory controller anyway. couldn't get below 9 second spi at 4.2ghz

you have 4+1 phase power the ud4p has 8+2

just a slightly better power regulation and less jumping around. still not a bad board tho.

c3: postal strike is doing my head in, it was sent last Thursday with next day delivery hopefully tomorrow

btw. I do have some doubts about this mobo.

1. What is the max stable FSB anybody has reached with this mobo?

2. I have plenty of fan connectors on the board but the only one I'm using is the CPU Fan connector. The rest of the fans are powered by my case itself (Storm Scout). Is this normal or recommended? Should I change the wiring to connect these case fans to the board?

i found 333 to be nice had it well over 400 tho so who knows lol

you can use your mobo fan headers if you want to control them with smart fan or w/e its up to you

Really? With which voltage? That sounds far too much. I thought about maybe 300 but never even tried more than 250

I just don't want to overdo it. In my aim I would like to have a stable and safe mild OC for each of the components. GPU, CPU, RAM, etc...
