Ah well thanks to all but I'm going to just get a Asus M479AT Deluxe Mobo sell my 9800s and get 4870s. Just too much of a pain in the ass for me. +1 Rep to all. (F1 did work btw. I'll be selling the mobo too. Contact me via PM if your interested in either the G Cards or Mobo lol)

glad it worked for you but sad day to see someone leave in disapointment with the mobo. I guess it goes without saying that you wait for others to work out the problems and wiat for a revision. considering that only two mobo exist for AMD/ Nvidia...more specifically for the AM3 platform, it will be a while before the issues are worked out. hopefully its just a bios update that can help fix the boot problem

Hello all, I'm going to be building a similar set up with this same motherboard, MSI NF980, and that's the RAM I chose for my build. Could you guys tell me a better Ram for the AMD P2 955?

Also I'm new to building my own PC, how much of an issue is it if the motherboard can't POST?

He has a short somewhere. Do my build out of the box suggestion. Remove everything. Put mobo on a small cardboard box and build it there. Start with mobo, cpu and ram and see if you get a post. If so add each component 1 by 1 and power it up. If it posts, add next component. So on so forth...

Prior I did overclock to 3.8 with 1.456 Vcore Multi at 19 on the CPU. CMOS reset was done but still no go. The chip is a 955BE. ALso the CPU Fan does not work when plugged into the 4pin fan slot (or any other fan for that matter plugged into that slot)

I think your ram needs to be installed to get post.

Ok I got my components in and I put everything together and I'm having the same problem. I can't get anything to boot. I tried everything that you guys suggested but still no luck. Anyone have any other ideas? I'll keep trying the tricks listed but I'm starting to lose hope...
