Well, yesterday was certainly.....fun.
Went to boot my computer, system kept locking up during boot, either in the BIOS portion, or in Windows. Naturally, I asumed it was a program I had installed being a pain, wiped the program out, along with several others (the ONE time I coud get into Windows, using safe mode). Now, I have no display from either my 8600, or the onboard 8200. Here are theerrors my BIOS display is giving me: 50, 00, 70, 75, 7F, C1 Those are my constants, sometimes it will flash a FF code too. Any ideas? I've tried going to only one HDD, with each of my three. Also pulled the GFX card, dropped down to one stick of RAM, heck, I even pulled my DVD burner.

Going Broke Overclocking

Have you check the MB's battery?
If it's weak it can not properly retain the info in the CMOS/BIOS.

Haven't checked that....but it shouldn't be bad, only a couple of months old....guess I gotta go dig out my battery tester.
Thanks, I forgot about that.

Couldn't find my tester, went and bought a new battery...no change, unless you count geting a C3 from both batteries a change.
