Why not just do the SLI hack on a good Crossfire mobo? Good Crossfire mobo's for AMD are a LOT easier to come by than SLI mobo's.

and buy an ASUS M4A79 Deluxe (ddr2) or M4A79T Deluxe (ddr3) These arent very expensive, but support Quad crossfire (SLI if you hack..)

Either my the board in my sig or the foxconn destroyer. Both are 780a chipsets which though not ddr3 are still decent overclocks an great sli boards.

I agree with this. It is an awesome board, and kept my old phenom 9750 24/7 stable with a nice overclock.

I heard the Foxconn Destroyer is good, it supports tri SLI and its based on the 780a chipset.
Right now the only AM3 DDR3 SLI board available is the MSI NF980-G65. I use to have a Gigabyte GA-M750SLI-DS4 and it was a good rock solid stable board too, but its been discontinued. Anyway, these days finding AMD SLI boards is rare, only Crossfire boards are widely available.

As stated the Foxconn Destroyer is one of the best, and coolest AMD SLI boards, but because it has an nvidia chipset it is pretty difficult to overclock (at least as high as I want to overclock)
I would go with a very good AM3 board that can support crossfire (ATX) because you can push it further. I have tried the sli hack on a crossfire MoBo, and it works great. right now I am looking at this board http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131398
