Yeah, odd thing is, I was just googling "m3a79-t deluxe windows 7 chipset" and I can't find anything either. I don't know if it's the chipset driver that was giving me issues before, but when I had windows 7 in the past, any game I ran that was newer than the source engine would give me dcom errors and plug and play errors that would then close the game and force me to restart.

Nothing I could do to fix it, either. I think it was because I was using the vista 64 chipset, but then again, I had no choice. I wonder, can we use the M4A79-T chipset driver for windows 7?

Thanks for the input, yea I have been googling too and have found most with windows 7 use the built in chipset drivers, I think I will hold back on vista 64 for the time being then, as I will be mostly gaming, strange that asus haven't included them or maybe they are still working on them?. I may email them to find out.

As for m4 drivers im not sure.

Edit: take a look at the asus forums dedicated to the m3a79t and someone is asking a simular question, it seems hit and miss if it works.

Looks like you should just let the windows 7 default drivers do their thing... I'm going to install windows 7 one last time and see what happens.

I have the M4N78 Pro and the DVD I was given with it wasn't supported by W7 so I just went to their website and they had them there

No chipset available yet. Try the generic ones from Microsoft or wait for ASUS to release drivers on their site.

I have had 7 installed for months now and have gone with the real version. I have had no issues with the chipset drivers. Windows took care of everything.
