Default Stupid question about ECSA790GXM-AD3 mobo

Sorry about the dumb question from a first time poster, I just am running out of patience

Alright guys, I need some advice. I recently bought a A790GXM-AD3 black edition mobo and Phenom II 955 from the egg. Long story short, if I shut the computer down after adjusting ANYTHING in the MIB II (clocking/voltages) the system will power up but not boot. I have to clear the CMOS and then its fine. If I dont mess with anything in the overclocking bios the problem never happens, I can shutdown and reboot without needing to clear the CMOS. To be perfectly clear, it is not an issue of overclocking, I can keep the stock cpu setting but simply enable the changing of the values and the problem will arise. I tried reflashing the BIOS with both available versions on the ECS site but it had no effect. I replaced the battery on the mobo just to eliminate it as a cause. Checked the RAM for errors but everything seems good. I put the sys togeather 2 nights ago so its not an issue that came about after extensive use.
So anybody got any ideas? Just a bad mobo? Ask for a refund from the egg and go with a better mobo (MSI, Asus, ect)?

For referance my related sys specs are
Windows 7 64bit OS
Phenom II 955
A790GXM-AD3 mobo
6GB DDR3 1333
OCZ gameXstream 700w PSU
MSI GTX 260 OCv3

Thanks for the help

As bad as ECS boards are thought to be, you should be able to at least change the settings. RMA to newegg IMO and go with something better. I would recommend this motherboard or this one for the price.

Also, it should be "DespiertanLosNinos" since it is plural. Despierta would be singular.

Spanish is a distant second language for me, so thanks for the correction. But either way they need to be awake

Also thanks for the advice guys. I kinda figured that my best bet was to just RMA the damn thing and buy a quality board. This was my first, and last, time buying ECS and only did so after reading decent reviews of it. Oh well, live and learn

It's a lot better than buying a prebuilt at least!

And did you buy from Newegg? If so, just open a live chat with them on Monday and explain the board is very bad and you can't save any settings and that you would like to exchange it for another board. They will gladly print you a shipping label for free via UPS, you just drop it off there and pick whatever new motherboard you want.

Yeah I bought if from newegg. I just got a RMA number for the board off the site, but come Monday I will definitly take your advice....no reason to spend even more on the suspect quality ECS mobo
