cooling on my MSI 790fx NorthBridge?

New to Overclock.net

OK...I have the MSI 790FX. So far I really like the MB. Everything in my PC runs cool except for the NB. I hooked up a small 40mm fan on the heatsink to try to get some air running across it. My next question is should I take the heatsink off and put some MX-2 TIM on it or maybe lap it? Anyone tried this on their 790FX?

Yes, replacing the TIM will helps lower the temps a few degrees.
