Default Best 790GX DDR2 board?
I'm sick of dealing with my K9A2 Platinum, it's been having stability problems for months, the RAID controller is always confused, etc. I need something better so I can install Win7 already.

I have to be able to use everything else on my sigrig, so AM2+ DDR2, and preferably a 790FX board.

So, what should I get?

Why not 790FX? What's your budget?

The only reason is because I have a few PCI cards that I don't want to lose the use of due to poor slot placement.

Budget is uh, whatever. Not over $250? But then again, don't want to build a new system right now, just want to swap boards and be done.

But yes I can attest to that being the greatest AM2+/AM3 board in the world. I had much better times with it than with my DKA790GX

If you really want GX, then get this, but it is nice to own a 790FX chipset. You just have a sound feeling of knowing you could run two cards at full bandwidth. You could also buy a cheapo video card to match the performance of onboard HD3300 easily.
