So far I've been overclocking with this board by increasing the FSB. The only reason I use this is because the multiplier is locked.

Is there any way to unlock the multiplier so that I can overclock more easily?

P.S: Can't do anything at the minute as I'm at uni. If anyone can leave any ideas I'll gladly try them out when I get home in around 3 hours.

Have updated your bio's? It may not be reading your cpu right. Because your multi should be unlocked.

Ah ha. Just looked up the available version and compared with my own. Mine is 1.2 the latest is 1.A. There are 6 updates between my version and the latest. Would I have to update to each version or should the latest one act as an incremental patch? I've never actually updated a BIOS before. Anything I should know?

You can just update to the latest one. Here is a thread on how to update your bio's. MSI HQ USB BIOS Flash Tool Just be sure to read and understand everything before starting and you should have no problem.

Updated the bios to the latest version. The multiplier is unlocked now. Cheers for the help.
