Is there any major differences between AMD and nVidia chipsets (besides the obvious SLI and CFX differences)? I've been trying to decide between two motherboards as I currently have an nVidia graphics card and I may want to upgrade in the future for SLI, but I'm not sure if I may run through any troubles overclocking (or unlocking more cores, haha).
Specifically, the two motherboards in question are: MSI NF750-G55 AM3 NVIDIA nForce 750a and ASUS M4A79XTD EVO Thanks for any help you guys give to this noob overclocker

AMD chipsets overclock slightly better and can unlock cores.

Don't the Nvidia chipsets have a core calibration BIOS setting as well though?
