I'm working on a gateway computer

With
3800+
512MB Ram I scape from a old celron machine (DDR 400)

It is not displaying video on intgered.

I have pull the ram to see if I get a beep message nothing
I have pull the cmos to reset everything nothing.

I have had shown video with ram in and cmos battery out earlier today but now I can't get back.

It has a 24 pin motherboard but for some reason showed up at my house with only a 20pin psu.

It still has starts up but now I'm out of ideas.

I wouldn't worry about the 20pin connector on the mobo...some mobo can be run like this. what do you mean by it still has starts up? have you tried slapping in an old video card in it?

I don't have spare video cards.

It will run but it woot make any beep codes with memory in or out.

And Still doesn't display video.

It start up Ie. fans run leds blink, hdd spin. But no video or beeps.

so I take it you can see/hear the fans and the mobo leds. what makes you think it "runs" as you put it? try connecting it to a set of speakers to listen for the sound of the OS booting if there is an OS installed.

I try that with a headset nothing.
Maybe its not running but it posted earlier today.

sounds like the mobo is dead to me but thats just my opinion. it could be the processor but it should beep on errors if it was.
