Default Msi nf980-g65, ram problems

Anyone having problems running DDR3 1600 on the MSI NF980-G65?

Yes. You have to manually set the timings in the BIOS and underclock the RAM. I just RMA'd this board for SLI issues and RAM issues as well. The board will become unstable, and will randomly lock up your computer. Adjust your timings and tell me if it fixes whatever issues you're having.

yep the ram on this mobo auto defaults to 1333 and you have to manually set the timing and speed yourself. I currently have mine running at 1600. took a while playing and toying with different timings and settings but i managed to get it to run that at stock timing. 7-7-7-24, although im going to be setting it back to 1333 when i add more ram in a few weeks
