congrats. i just got mine yesterday. after waiting two weeks to get paid when my foxconn a79a-s died. bios is super easy to navigate. OCed right back to my oc with the foxconn no issues at all. only thing i dont like is the location of the cmos jumper. lol. enjoy the new board.

Now do you want to thank me for pointing out your old ECS was responsible for your OC wall?

Something else I just noticed: you might get even more headway if you run only two sticks of matched RAM in the same channel; that third solo stick might lower your OC potential.

You still might want to remove a channel though. General rule of thumb is that all RAM on your motherboard should be matched if you want to overclock, as each pair might have different settings than the other (i.e., your 1GB sticks may have latencies of 4-4-4-12 and can take up to 2.0V, while your 512MB sticks may have latencies of 5-5-5-15 and can take up to 2.2V).

However, if you're happy with the overclocks you've already achieved, and don't plan on pushing it any further, then there's no need to take out some RAM

Also, I'm not too sure about 1.4 GHz; I'm an Intel OCer myself, and 1.4 is the danger zone for my CPU; it probably is different for AMD's chips, but some research would never hurt

My MSI-NF980 caused nothing but problems for me. I'm glad I went back to my Gigabyte board (even though it's a different model). You made a great purchase!
