Default asrock 780gxe help !!!

i recently got a asrock 780gxe and a x2 5000+ 2.2ghz i was trying to overclock the chip, i guess i went to far. i havent been able to get the board to boot. i ve cleared the cmos many times it doesnt seem to be working

Unplug or shut off the PSU and then clear the cmos. Mine will usually boot after I unplug it for 10-15 seconds.

How much voltage were you pushing through the board? In my experience voltage is what kills 'em. Usually, the cheaper the board the less voltage it can handle.

Did you raise voltages at all? 1.3125 is not very high. Isn't that the VID?

no not really. i believe so. if not close too it. i was at 2860mhz. it past an orthos test for a couple hours

Did you change any other settings in bios? If you could list them that would most probably help in determining what caused the problem.

edit: 2.8Ghz without a voltage change seems unlikely on that chip.

Also, go to your UserCP and fill in your system specs

i think i turned off the fail safe boot. i read on a couple reviews and they said to turn it off when overclocking. seem like a bad idea now..... other and that nothing really was changed

Hmmmmm. If you didnt change anything then it must be a hardware problem. Have you tried booting with different ram? If you don't have any try 1 stick at a time.
