Default Best Motherboard to slot in 955/965?

Looking for a decent AM3 motherboard that can post with a 955/965 without bios update since I don't have an alternative chip to do it.

I know the Asus boards in particular had a rough time posting 955/965s without a bios update and some people were forced to order bios chips so I'd prefer to avoid such cases.

Gigabyte is a good brand to look into, the GA-MA790FXT-UD5P/UD4P are common AM3 motherboards

most 790FX boards are good.

Gigabyte or MSI should do you good.

I was looking at the Gigabyte/ MSI GX / FX boards yeah. Key point though here. "It" Must be able to slot into the board and post with whatever bios the motherboard ships with. I would not have a older chip to put in to update the bios.

Also is there any difference between the 125W and 140W 965 other than the newer stepping has a lower TDP?
