Default Is motherboard compatible with Althon 64 X2?

I have a Athlon 64 dual core and was wondering if this motherboard is compatible with Athlon 64 and Phenom quad core.

But isn't the Althon 64 dual core am2 and the Phenon quad core am2+ ?

Aren't they two separate sockets?

No, they're still the same. Only the pins are what separates them.

According to the list, your motherboard supports AM2/AM2+/AM3, so you good to go with any CPU upgrade you choose. Good luck!
