Temp PROBLEM!
I just set up everything on my new mobo. As I was doing some stressing, I turned on both HW Monitor and Speed fan. HWmonitor detects only 2 TMPIN1/0 which is odd because my last mobo detected 3 all the time. Then I opened up Speed Fan and I saw that one of the temps were 85C!?/90C?!? I thought no this can't be right, so I read off what sensor was giving me that number and speed fan says Remote 1? I've never seen this crap.
I turned off my pc, went into bios and checked the temps in there and it said CPU Temperature 128C!? *** is going on?

Bad sensor. My mobo has one for the cpu. The only 2 way to fix that is RMA the mobo or add-on sensor .

what do you mean by add on sensor. program? or some hardware installation?

Hardware. People use them for water cooling system , but you can use them by mounting or stick them on the heatsink of your cpu. It is about 5c off on temp.

are you 100% sure it's a bad sensor?
all I know is that HWmonitor in windows doesn't report any high temps. However speedfan does. crap man I have to call newegg to RMA. Do they have something like they can send you a replcaement right away while you send the hardware back?

I have ocing my cpu in a Asus mobo and I know how speed I can oc my cpu. You can RMA it online it is faster.

Either bad sensor or... Maybe your heatsink fell off, LOL.
