Default Asus A8N-SLI premiun

My Pc is dead at the shop; The Asus A8N-SLI premiun is what they are putting in. Any pitt falls I need to know about?

Nope, it rocks. I had it in my main rig for 5 months before moving it my second rig (I picked up the Asus A8N32-SLI for it). Very stable, very fast, and slick heatpipe cooling.

Just one thing........ Does it support the Gygabite 3D1 in Sli Mode???

By all accounts a great board. Only pitfall is that the max voltage is 1.55v vcore.
If you use this or less, it should be a very good buy

Yes it does support the gigabyte dual gpu card. The reviews I read for the card indicated that the Asus bios detects it no problems.

i only went with the deluxe because i was going to WC the chipset, or i would have went with the premium, it's only about $10 more anyway, so why not? I also donlt have any fans in my case except for the PSU, and that wouldn;t really help the passive cooling at all would it?

The passive cooling would still be fine, its a heatpipe config. Also the Premium has auto switching for SLI (rather than jumper based like the deluxe and the DFI models).

Meh, jumper switching is more stable than a sftware solution anyway. and if you are already in there installing a second card, whats the problem with moving a jumper block?

Yeah dosnt the premium have like copper piping and a fan, look spretty cool I saw it at Frys the other day....kinda looks big vertically though
