Unhappy RAID drivers??

I got a Abit NF7-S v2 and was rebuilding my system I got eveything set-up and relieved that I should get new drivers for my SATA RAID. I went to Abit's site and their drivers where from Aug. 2003!!! Silicon Image has released drivers for the same chip in Sep. 2004, but they are for "Genral use". What do you think Abit site year plus drivers or Sincon Image new but may not work??

Note I sent Abit a email on this subject today when they respond I will post it here see what they say.

Thanks for the advise and private message but I have set-up RAID many times before. I was unsure of the drivers because the chip is built into the board and be slightly diffrent then refrance design. I'm setting it up on Abit's drivers for now and doing a burn in and performance performance test and then trying the other drivers see how they will work.

Hay I find this stuff as being fun so some extra time fooling with it is alright in my book.
