DFI SLR DR Venus
DFI Releases A Limited, Super High-End Motherboard: DFI LANParty UT nForce4 SLI-DR Venus
This board looks interesting. How much do you guys think the aluminum capacitors would help your OC? Has anyone given it a whirl?

I do recall the Japaniese Caps are premium and do effect the performance. How much, no idea... but every little thing helps.

So all they did was take the SLi-DR Expert and use all Japanese caps? How much more is this board supposed to be over the regular SLi-DR Expert? Because if all they did was change the caps, this is more hype than anything. IBM has been doing that on their desktop workstation boards for years. Don't get me wrong those lil silver caps look cool and I'm sure there is a benchable difference in performance, but if it costs like $100 more than the regular version, it's not going to be worth it.

its different.. it has the extra space between the PCI-E slots like the expert, and the ram is on the side istead of the top.

Hmmm only 1000 going to be produced and not dual 16x SLi. The "gift box" may be nice, but I don't think this one is going to be worth it.

|
I will say I wish my DIMM slots were bedides the ZIF slot instead of above it.
My personal opinion, I don't think it's quite worth it. I don't now the price, but I know they said expensive, and DFI's are already not cheap, lol. My SLI-DR was like 140ish
