Default Builds for the first time

I looking to an amd comp I hope to use it for gaming somewhat but I am really just interested in building one. I am looking to find out what combos have worked for other uses?

Well I reccomend a 3700, a8n32-sli, a 7800GTX or a 1900xtx pending budget * a 7800GT or GS will suffice just fine!* Some good ram, Some g skill maybe? And a a nice psu, I love fortrons, Solid as a tank. Get a good fortron 600 watt, It's awesome and a nice xp120 or thermaltake big typhoon. That's basically your whole comp, Oh and a audigy as a soundcard. That's a killer set up, And It'll o/c like mad! 3 Ghz in some cases

I'm loving my board! a8n-sli deluxe! It's awesome, So many sata ports, So many usb ports, It's got everythig you want and more. However it's a bit old and it'snewer counterpart; The a8n32-sli is awesome. Just get a delux or premium depending on how much money you have. A 7800GT is an awesome card, even better is the GTX. I'd look into an opteron if you want dual core that has high overclock potential and a fairly cheap price!

I would go for DFI sli/ultra mobo and 3200+, then a 7800gt + 2gb ram. If you need loosening, replace 7800gt with 6800gs (though big drop in performance) or x850xt (you won't have sm3.0, hdr though), and/or drop 1gb ram.
