The green light is not all telling.
Do try a deep reset...
Remove power cord
Rempove battery
Toggle the PS on/off several times
Jump to clear and wait 30-60 seconds...
It that don't do it repaet and wait 30-60 minutes.
I've had an odd Asus that required an overnight wait

What does your computer do "exactly" when you push the power switch?
Does it beep or the lights change, maybe a fan or HD runs for a second or?
When does that "Green Light" come on?

Unsure... try this.
The 2 pins that you hook up your case ON/OFF switch. Remove the connection and tap the two pins with a screwdriver. That will act just like the on switch, that will eliminate a defective Case ON/OFF switch.
