hello i have goten a copy of dark basic a few years ago and tried to program in it but the manule was total crap with lots of errors and typos. and i couldent get past the stock market array tutorial could someone please help me out?

We're all friends here, so no need to walk down that path.

BASIC is pretty obsolete unless you program for TI calculators, you should look into Perl, Tcl, Python, etc.

While that isn't a bad suggestion, Basic is beginning programmers and I think you need to stick with it. Post me some sample code, such as basic I/O and conditional statements, followed up by "How an array is suppose to look like" actually just post me the code you are having troubles with and I should be able to walk you through it.

they have lots of game demos done in their languge by the by i would like to challenge you to a game of astroids or space invaders

I noticed that, I got totally "pwn3d" in it :P. (I Suck at video games). Anyways, I know the point of Dark Basic (for the fact that I went and 'chexed' it out). But I'm sure it goes beyond "game programming" and the such. My point is, post me the code, or send it to me via email (in my profile) and I'll help you go through it.

Confuseled... I guess I must have sent you "said links" via PM... I don't remeber doing such, but then again, I have a horrid memmory loss problem so :/ . On the note of gaming, I blow at video games... when it comes to programming I'm "devoted". I use to think I was a good programmer, but after dwelling deeper into programming I have found out that I have only brushed the top of the Ice-berg of programming. I have ... more or less ... admin to think for this one. I knew basic theory and had nothing to apply said knowledge to so I finally was challenged and am learning quite a bit of ... the interworkings of proper algorithms ... (I really cannot say much). And well, life goes way beyond recursiveness, hash tables, polymorphism, &c.
