Default What language should I learn?
I want to get more into programming, but I don't know the direction that I want to take. I know a little bit of as2, as3, lingo and javascript. I'm not fluent in them and haven't used them in a while, thats what I've been exposed to though. I do know that I do want to begin to program for the iphone and other mobile devices since they've always interested me. Where should I start?

The iPhone uses Objective C, and Android uses Java. If you're interested in embedded systems type mobile rather than than smartphone stuff, go for C

Java is used in many applications and is very similar to C++/C#. I would also look into python.
