AHHH!! Ok...i dled that Dev-C++ compiler cause it looked good. And it is good for themost part..except i tried to run the program i posted earlier...and it pops up, but it will exit out as soon as it pops up? I'm prolyl doing something wrong any advice?

Hmm well...now i can getthe program to compile in visual studio 6 but..
I try to build it and the program just pops up for a milisecond...but it works fine when i execute it in the compiler? help me please lol

Well, Dev-C++ isn't a compiler. It is an Integrated Development Environment.
__________________Also, Windows automatically closes command line interface executables when they are finished, so the behavior of your program is normal. A workaround is to open cmd.exe, and run the executable directly from a command line.

Start -> run
__________________type "cmd" Then "cd" to the directory where your project is saved. Type the name of the ouput executable, and press enter.

Hmm..so the dev ide doesnt seem to like how i write progams...and my microsoft visual c++ compiler is still not working.... Can anyone gimme up a link for a good compiler?

Hmm... is there like a free version of this? I was looking at it and its like 100$ ?
Hmm..I only have one hdd now.. and i was thinking of putting linux on it too...but i hear that its a b**** with windows on it too Oh....btw i have Visual C++ 2005 Express beta...and i get the exact same error as before...on hte line that isnt there right after my last =/ I'm going crazy lol
