I have a Pioneer DEH-7000R car CD player that is in great shape. the faceplate is mint and it works flawlessly, except that it needs a new switch or something. Whenever you open the front face to eject the CD it turns off. It's probably an easy fix, but I decided to get a new Eclipse instead of having it fixed.
Everything else works just fine. I used it with the radio and my mp3 player for the last couple months. The CD player function works fine as well, it's just the swith. there is a CD in it now and it plays that CD wonderfully I have the box somewhere, not sure where though. It was about $450 new, what do you guys think it's worth now?

Ide say about $100-125 max. Its a little old, and has a "switch" problem. The thing with old head units is, they age quickly, as in loose value and go out of style.
Perhaps you could remove the face plate, and take the unit apart and try to fix the switch problem. Your warranty is up on it, so i think you have nothing to loose by trying to fix it.

bump any other input?
I did take a look at the CD player, but it's not a loose connection or anything like that. I think the switch actually needs to be replaced (there's a small switch that detects when the faceplate opens up) and I didn't feel like buying parts. Like I said, it is definately fixable, and you could probably pay someone to fix it for $75 or less depending on where you're at.
