My dad may be replacing his T2500 with a T7200. He wants to know how much he could get for the T2500 Core 2 Duo processor.

Pretty hard to sell socket 479 CPU since most people doesn't have that anymore. I'd say $200 max if you want to sell quick

This processor is less than 4 months old. Socket 479 is what is used by all new notebooks and anything with Centrino.

It is an IBM (Lenovo) T60p. It has a Core 2 Duo T2500, 2GB DDR2-667 (2:1 ratio), ATI FireGL 256MB PCIe graphics card, 100GB 7200RPM drive (soon to be upgrade to a 32GB NAND SSD drive). It is a pretty nice notebook.

If I am not wrong, that's not even Core 2 Duo to begin with. That's the older 32-bit Core Duo. The Core 2 Duo's are T5xxxs and T7xxxs. The T2xxxs are the older Core Duo. It's dual core but not Core 2 Duo.
