Appraisal: Opty rig components - CPU/mobo
I'm considering selling off some of my gear to fund another Conroe build. Any thoughts on prices for these components would be appreciated.

I'd say about £125-140 for the CPU.. going on the 144 being £100 brand new

I haven't played with it a whole lot, but I've taken it up to 275 MHz from 200 MHz stock. In my book that's not too shabby.

The 144 is going for $79.50 at Newegg with free shipping. Given that your's is a proven performer, I'm thinking you could get another 15% for it.

I would say:
Opteron 148 - $120 (Current sale price $105) A8N-E - $60 (Current sale price $78) Reason being for the opteron the buyer will get a guaranteed good stepping, which in my book is worth the extra 15 dollars. However, the motherboard is just used, and thus it depriciates. Just my 2cp.

About retail for the A8N-E, and 20$ above retail for the Opty.
The mobo doesn't give extreme results while overclocking, but you can overclock it pretty far as long as the chipset HSF is changed. The CPU instead, overclocks extremely nice  3.0 GHz is a very high overclock if it's on air.
