Default Appraisal: Acer Aspire 5100

I just bought this thinking it was dual core but it isnt. anyway i may keep it and go without a desktop for at least 4-6 months at which point i may want a desktop again. I want to know what this is worth now and in 6 months assuming very good condition.

AMD Turion MK-36 2.0GHz
ATI Xpress 1100
100GB HDD
1gb DDR2
15.4 WXGA
Vista Home Premium

Edit: i bought it two days ago $500, not trying to sell now, i can still return it as it is unopened.

I'd say $750 now maybe. Dell and HP have been waging war with their laptops this last month. You can buy a damn good one with dual core fairly cheap.

Edit: In 6 months it will be considerably less.

i bought it for $500, thought it was dual core but it still seems to be a good deal. I just want to know if i can sell it for $400-450 in 6 months.

i can just return it but the only sub $500 lappy ive seen since black friday has a celeron and 512 ram.

That's a nice laptop...however you can buy the same one brand new with dual core for under $600 new.

I'll say around $450 because it has a single core cpu....furthermore it's pretty sweet

That is a big hard drive for a basic model laptop. Now that I look at it I guess the processor would make it cheaper than I thought.
