Default Appraisal: AMD BE-2300

The CPU is only 3 days old. I bought it new at FRY's with the intention to return it but someone at my house threw away the reciept, so no returns for me
Anyways, I have my 3600+ coming in soon and I need to get rid of this cpu because the money I used to purchase it wasn't mines. The cpu was 97$ with tax included, the cheapest I could find it online was 82$. Thanks.

BTW: Can I exchange the cpu at fry's without a reciept or not?

CPU Specs:
1.9Ghz
45W

Pretty much the same as a 3600+ except it uses 45w and it's know to go up to 3-3.2ghz on air.

Check if they can reprint receipts. They may still accept a return.

If you bought it 3 days ago with a credit card or something other than cash they may have you in their data base. The idea is to prove you bought it from them, after that it all depends on how nice they are and if they want to help you or not.

Thx guys, I'll rep you. Unfortunately I paid with cash, so I doubt they will let me return it. I at least wanted an exchange.

Sell it fast though... AMD released a new X2 BE-2400 yesterday which cost $104. It's 20% faster for only a $10 more...

Another idea: it's a boxed CPU, isn't it? Say it is, it must have a bar code. They must have it registered in their database. From this on it all depends if the salesman wants or not to help you, because there is most certainly a possibility to prove that you bought it from them. Surveillance tapes

I was thinking about that, hopefully they'll accept it.
