Default Appraisal : Socket 462 cpu and Motherboard

My friend wants to upgrade his pc and we are trying to figure out how much he may get

He has:

AMD XP 3100+
HP Mobo (not sure what brand and model)

Are you sure its not a 462 socket? I've never seen an Athlon XP on a 754.

I'm probably way off but I don't see very many 3100s floating around so maybe 60-80 for the CPU and any HP mobo is about worthless. might be able to get a lil money for the RAM tho depending on what they are...

Edit: i'd say $30-50.

I'd say $50 for the CPU as socket A's are still wanted and the 3100 is a good performer, the motherboard is worth maybe $10 as it's a crap HP board

Perhaps a little high on the CPU, I'd say $40 is a good amount. I sold an extra 2800+ I had for $35.
