Erm...a battery can work if it's gotten wet unless it's really been like that for a while...but then again, it would be mostly dried out by this point.

Well at this point I'd like to assume that's it's completely dead (not the battery). So I'd like an appraisal for that. What is a dead Ipod Touch 16gb worth?

Yeah I'm not sure what he meant by that. I found out that a used screen is worth roughly $50 and not sure about anything else so I'm mostly likely gonna buy it and try to see what's up. If I can't fix it then I'll set up an auction for the device here on OCN. Whoever wants it most will take it.

Those prices are based on a fully functional Digitizer and LCD, No scratches on digi, and the lcd with no dead pixels.

And we Sell 100 a week if not more AT THAT PRICE.

Fully working LCD screen, yes they sell at 100$ .

Dont believe me.... Ship that glass to me , if it has no scratches in it, i havbe about 20 + ipod touches here that need repairing and a glass...

That's extremely lucky to be honest. I have seen prices everywhere on the net that are much cheaper than that for new parts.

You get 100% good service.
you get 100% working parts 1 year warranty on the glass / parts.
10 year warranty on battery replacements.

You want guaranteed good work, a 100% working ipod touch, quick service.

Yes the parts get sold at higher prices, but your paying for the service you get, as well as warranty and quick service.

All this being said is for peroxide, who has no clue the experience i have dealing with any apple product with pricing and technical abnormalities.

I must fix 500 ipods / touches / iphones a month .

Relating to this post, i only have a small hunch that the device is water damaged.

If it is water damaged, the board of course is no good, and if its working now, the corrosion will cause problems down the road.

Chances are the lcd ribbon and digitizer ribbon / cable could have corrosion on them as well, depending on the extent of the water damage. if thats the case those will have funky problems also. maybe dead spots or will totally crap out later on.
