Cool Lenovo y430 laptop

As the title suggests, I'd appreciate any appraisals for my laptop (T5800 version) I haven't been able to find any completed ebay listings for this exact laptop, so decided to come to you guys for your wisdom . It's in good condition, only a minor blemish shown in picture.

I'm fairly certain THIS is the exact model, specs seem to match up (cpu, 3gb ram, 250gb hdd). Anyways, it has an HDMI and VGA port and 3 usb ports. Any appraisals will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

If anyone is interested before I put it in for sale section, I'm interested in trading for a decent HTPC. PM me

$450-500

its open box, warranty has been reduced, T5800 is not that good of a CPU, its only 100mbit LAN, HDMI is worthless with integrated grpahics on a T5800. and 3GB of RAM won't be running in dual channel

I don't see how this laptop is so expensive other than the upgraded interfaces....

HDMI is convenient to have on a laptop to share pictures etc. with a group of people. It plays games like Plants vs Zombies well. Sure it won't play Crysis or any gpu intensive games, but that's not the main use for it, obviously . I hooked it up to my plasma for about a week and worked fine. *shrug*

Also wouldn't the ram run in asynchronous dual channel? serious question.

edit: forgot to mention, I didnt buy the laptop FROM that link, that link just contains the specs for the laptop I have.

Asynchronous dual channel on laptops work differently than desktop boards

and my experience with HDMI+ integrated graphics was a lot of lag even in windows using a 1080p screen

Ah that might be why, I've only got a 720p hdtv in my house. Might be worse to try on 1080, but can never be sure.

Thanks for your input!
