Any chance of lowering the price? $110 is pretty steep for a res that doesn't hold much water.

Can they be made to not emit light like that? I'm assuming it's just a light inside the end that puts light through the tubes and looks sweet, but can it be turned off when i'm trying to sleep D:

I'm sure that you could just put a switch on the CCFL to shut it off at night.

One more thing, can you put UV LEDs because i already have UV active dye and would like the res to be well lit with UV LEDs like two on the top and two on the bottom to really make it glow, could that be done?

I know that I'm answering for him, but I just can't resist lol. The led's are projected straight ahead as you know. If you where to do this, you would need to either difuse the light, or light it from the outside. It will work just fine, it will be just as bright, it just won't be in the res.

Yea but i just wanted UV LEDs instead of color LEDs

Right, but unlike the ccfl's, the led's will have to be projected to teh res adn this can only be done from the outside.

What are CCFLs? cold cathode florescent lights? I have two of those so would that be enough to glow the water in the res?

Yeah, that's what it is. And, as far as I know, that is what he puts into the res to light it and it ship's with it. I'm not sure if you can stuff two of them in there without putting another tube in there or a larger tube.
