Question Zalman VF900 Power Question

Hey Guys,

First off, thank all the guys who answer questions on this great forum and help so many people out. Regarding my question, I know the zalman vf900 has two modes: silent and regular but I was wondering if these modes are interchangeable thru software settings or physically using a different power cord. Additionally, I am also confused as to where you plug in the power for the zalman (onto the vid card or into a power slot like a floppy drive uses). Sorry for the noobish questions guys but I appreciate your input.

They come with a little switch controller to turn the speed up and down "optional" i tossed it!

I have mine hooked right up to the mother board fan headers and running full speed all the time "virtually silent". They come with a 3 pin power connector.
