Default My card and the VF900?
Yeah, I bought a VF-900 last night off of ZZF ($36.50). Would I expect lower temps with this bad boy on? Because right now, with AS5, I'm getting 71C idle after it just sitting there for 4+ hours!! I stll have some AS5 left so the VF is going on with AS5 and not that crap that Zalman provides. Also, could I apply the RAM sinks with AS5 after I take off the thermal tape? Can't you tell that this is my first Zalman? Thanks

Yep, temps should drop. 71C idle is quite a bit too high. Make sure you have good airflow in the case also, I suspect you might have an issue there. Just make sure not to apply too much AS5; just a little bit will do.

And yes, you can stick the RAM heatsinks on the card with AS5. Just be mindful that they will come off very easily at first, but when the AS5 is cured it'll be nice and sticky enough to keep them in place (I did it with an X850, and they're still in place, even after shipping the card )

CAn't you shove some cables in that empty 3.5" slot underneath your DVD drive?

Too bad you don't have room above your DVD...that's where I stacked a lot of cables when I still had a case with the PSU in the top

My VF900 is on a truck right now!! HEHEHEHEHE, I can't wait!


The pics are now outdated cuz I got a new PSU in it. Alot less wires.
