Go for the tide water if you want better performance but don't mind the noise, cost, and lack of ramsinks.

The cost would be less...and the noise of a X1900XT stock fan...lol. I am worried about the ramsinks though.

Remove two 512GB sticks of RAM for the benchies... it should help

And Opterons are cheap now also. $160 for the Opty 165. I think that's preferable over the (single core) FX CPUs

No need to be worried about the ramsinks mate, i think the Tide Water comes with them, but i aint entirely sure...

However, as someone said earlier....you can pick up a good set for $10 so they aint anything to worry about....

Tide Water doesn't come with ramsinks, I bought a set of Swiftech MC14 ramsinks which works quite nice.

Anyway the Tide Water doesn't generate any noise except for the air coming out, and it isn't even close to being loud.
